Well, John, in my case, the IP is different every time i enter the system (that's the case with most Russian commercial Internet providers, methinks - no spoof, it just changes automatically, no idea how it works), so... i voted again, don't remember which time it was.

Ahh, I'll have to try power cycling my DSL modem and see. Actually, just a release/renew on the gateway router would do it.

It depends on how long the leases are on your ISP's DHCP server. Some ISP's set them up for a few hours and other allow you to keep an address a month or more. There are good reasons for either setup.
