I want to black out my 4003

Post by jaymi »

Anyone in the mood to trade some BT parts for some chrome and of course, the pickguard on my 2001 4003? I have my eye on this certain BT bass and have not been able to move my F*&d'r basses to purchase it to this point...In the meantime, I would like to black out mine ya know? I'm feeling a little "Jared-like" for some BT on my JG Dig????

I've been thinking the SAME thing, how do you guys think my Walnut would look with all black trim? Dammit, I wish the neck had black binding on it as well. I'm not an all black "jetglo" kind of guy, but I wonder.....

I'd keep it like that, Tony - Black plastic/chrome is a nice combo, especially on the White instruments. I never went for the black hardware look myself.

I have to agree that the Walnut looks great as-is.

As for the JGBT, Greg's looks great even with the chrome, but all-black (minus the fretboard of course) is cool too:

That is nice Harry! If I can get a black bridge for a decent price sometime, I'll probably grab it and then get the tuners too.

I really like the parts I got from Pickguardian (guard and bridge pickup surround).

Tony, that Walnut 4001 looks great the way it is, don't change anything.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)
