Looks MUCH better with its brothers and sisters than round my neck Dave! To tell you folks the truth it was the one Rickenbacker which broke my rule - "if I buy it, I play it...alot!" ... I have to say it wasn't for me after several years of frowning at it, TRYING to join a band who would accept it (plus I have enough trouble navigating my 360's, let alone having a bass neck obscuring the view!!), and so really glad its gone to a double neck fan - anyway Dave sent me a funny Christmas Rickenbacker picture back in December, so he was always in the frame for it!!!!!!!!
Nice buy Dave. You are the king of the doublenecks!
Simon, I seem remember reading in that article that you were a little unsure about this instrument. In that case it's always best in the hands of someone who will appreciate it. Plus, I would imagine that by selling it you can fund something else that's more up your street.
Oh, and I will hopefully be in touch about checking out your collection sometime in the not too distant future if it's still ok with you; I'm looking forward to it!

Hi Shaun - yes stick your head in here sometime - the 4080's gone, but there's a few other nice 'uns left!!!! (and its funding treats for my 4 nieces, first of whom is reaching 18 shortly and just passed her driving test, so its her who'll be going "up that street"!!... but, er, hopefully not up the pavement.......
Just a few Simon? : I doubt that somehow...)
Best of luck with the gift, and I hope it works out ok. And yes, keeping off the pavement is a good idea. First time I drove a car I nearly drove it into Fleetwood Dock, but that's another story...
