If you put Zymol on an unfinished wood fretboard, there will be little bluegreen flecks all over the woodgrain.
I would prefer that you don't ask me how I knew that.

Zymol is not for "wood"--meaning unfinished wood or anything with open pores, even finished wood like oak. Says so on the bottle. Unfinished fretboards need oil-type treatment.
