Merrill is singing, Wayne is on acoustic, Alan is on bass, Donny is on piano, and Jay is on drums.

I have two very funny stories about my meeting Marie, a few times......but I think I'll save it for a confluence over a couple of cold ones....Let's just say, they can't be published here.Image

Kris
They were a big act back in the early seventies when I was a kid. I thought they were awesome. "Goin' Home" was my first 45rpm record.

Then, I discovered "Meet the Beatles" and I haven't been the same since.

I thought Merrill was the bass player. Alan and Wayne were the guitarists, right?

Merrill usually played bass, but on this occasion it was Alan.

"Crazy Horses" is actually a pretty good record and they played and wrote all of it. "The Plan" is kinda weird as it's their Mormon concept album, but the tunes are pretty rocking. Plus you have to admit they could definitely sing.

Anyone remember "down by the lazy river"? That was a good one.

OMG!

Watching those two videos makes me SO GLAD I'm not a baby boomer!

I know half of you boomers had these records and aren't 'fessin' up to it. What were you thinking?!

Hey, we could be talking about Partridge Family, Susan Dey was another one on my hit parade while "I was just a lad"! Image
