Something....... Bass??
Ok, here is one for the experts. The legendary bass-line on "Something." Rick or Hofner. There are conflicting opinions here.

I've seen your version on youtube Francesco. Brilliant as always. This web page is what has confused me.

Other album information does not seem realistic. Paperback Writer Bass/ Paul/ Nu Sonic Bass?!?!?!?!?!?

I do not even know what the hell a NUSONIC Bass is LOL....
I read that while recording Paperback Writer/Rain, EMI technical staff put a loudspeaker in front of Paul's amp in order to pick up certain deep frequencies otherwise impossible to capture with 60s technology...but the bass is undoubtly his rickenbacker... I recorded this MP3 months ago, plugging my V63 into the PC and you can judge the similarity of the sound even if I am using rounds...I am on the left, Paul on the right of the stereo

Ah yes, the Paperback Writer/NuSonic Bass question. Hey, you're right, it has been about 3 months since it last came up, so you're right on schedule.
And so, once again, here's the answer:
George played a Burns NuSonic Bass on an early run-through(demo) of the song, but the recorded version we all know is Paul on Ric 4001S.
See ya in 3 months.

That website that shows "who played What" on all the songs is rubbish. I'd hardly take it into consideration when trying to decifer whats what.
They say George played his SG on You Never Give Me Your Money, when George stopped playing it not long after receiving it. if ANYONE played the SG on Abbey Road it was John, as the Lady Madonna/Hey Bulldog clips show.
Chances are, it was an LP if George played it. That site, like I said, must be taken with a shaker of salt.
