I'd like one!

J, put some gold guards, oven knobs, and an R tailpiece on your v64 and you've got a Suzi Arden Signature Edition!

Carole, Usually when you send artist items to sign such as a pickguard you send it by mail to them. You pack a return envelope with the item so Suzi doesn't have to do anything but sign the pickguard and seal it up in the new envelope and drop it in her mailbox. A lot of famous people do this.

Of course, I do live in North Carolina, even better if I could get an autograph in person! Image

This is all a fascinating read. Just giving it a bump before it disappears.

I hope Suzi is doing well. I notice there haven’t been any posts on this thread in a while.

Reading over this forum has been very enlightening since I just discovered who my father was a few days ago. I am one of Tommy Lee “Lucky” Clark’s half dozen (or more?) children he fathered with several different women. Lucky was one of Suzi Arden's band members during the Las Vegas years at the Mint Lounge. My sister and I discovered he passed away in Oklahoma City on November 11, 2007 from liver cancer and Hepatitis C. He was 66.

Although I never knew who my father was until my 48th birthday, I have been a passionate fan of Rickenbackers since high school and learned how to play bass on a 4005—coincidence or hereditary; who knows? But it is a little cool to see my father on stage in Las Vegas holding a similar Rickenbacker Bass. By then he had already left my Mom, me and my baby sister. I do not remember anything about him at all. Thanks for posting the photos on here so I can see what he looked like.

Welcome Cecil. Thanks for your comments and I am glad that you have been able to see a photo of your father.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Cecil,

Welcome to the fold. I'll echo Jeff's comment and ask if you are currently playing music. If you have any Rickenbacker instruments we'd love to see pictures; if not, that's fine too, you're still very welcome to join in the fun with us. :)
