Ric guitar strap

Post by dannyboy »

I was looking everywhere in the music stores here in Québec city, then in Montréal and then in Ottawa to find a Ric strap to no avail! So I ordered it from Rickenbacker. And I gladly received it yesterday to find out that... they were made in Canada!!! A twist of irony perhaps! LOL Image

I really like mine. I have a maroon one to go with my Burgundyglo 4001. It makes me feel stunning.

Even though I'm not.
Here is where I hide my music:

Gordon, how 'high' can you wear the Python Strap? I have read that they are slightly longer than they used to be, and the reason I ask is that I tend to wear my guitars higher than the average...

In fact, I took my maroon Rickenbacker strap to a shoe repair shop to have extra holes punched in it... about 7 inches away from the previous set of holes.

Hi Stuart ...i dont know about the old ones, but i do wear it at the
shortest position and it's perfect for me there ...if you wear it higher
than usual, it may not fit ...it's in 2 pieces though, maybe not using
the small 2nd piece would work (though i think you'd have to put a hole there ?)
...anybody modded this strap ?

My Python is set to the highest position using the last strap button hole. It sits just a little low but not enough for me to move to the second strap button hole. If I used that hole, I would have to trim the excess and move the buckle to the last notch. I don't think I want to cut a $200 strap!

Great pic Doug. It looks like birthday wishes were the order of the day as well.

My Python strap was too tight
I couldn't get it off last night
A week went by, and now its July
I finally got it off, and my girlfriend cried...

I wonder if FZ ever used Rickenbackers?
