Kent - Couldn't help to see you are in Honolulu. I'll be at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort for eight days at the end of next month.

wow Mike... I'll just miss you. I'm moving to Oregon and will leave in about a month. Why? A whole host of reasons ($$ being one of them). Another reason is that I've lived on Oahu for 18 years not and it's simply time for a change.

Hope you like your vacation. Will you be going to the outer islands too? Maui?

No, have been going to the other islands for years. Just want a peaceful one-island stay. Good luck with your move! Oregon sounds like a nice choice.

yea... Corvallis. Come winter I'm sure I'll miss the warm weather but to tell the truth now that I'm an old fart (53) the summers here are just too hot for me to take. It's exciting and scary at the same time.... but life is about change and I think its the right thing to do.

I preparation for the move I've sold a few guitars lately and am now down to just the essential dozen.

McCartney and Mills Settling Down?

McCartney and Mills Settling Down?

Maybe Paul McCartney's money can't buy him love, but it can apparently buy his way out of an unhappy marriage.

According to published reports, the former Beatle has successfully brokered a settlement in his bitter divorce battle with Heather Mills, who has reportedly accepted his offer of an estimated $56 million in cash and property as well as joint custody of their three-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

As of Monday, there was no confirmation of the report from the respective camps of either McCartney or Mills.

Word of the purported settlement was first reported by Britain's News of the World—the same outlet that claimed Mills had accepted a $63 million settlement back in January, a report her legal team quickly denied.

Though proceedings in the Mills-McCartney divorce battle have been conducted behind closed doors, leaks from the courtroom have included reports that Mills, 39, was seeking $6.6 million a year—or about $20,000 a day—from her estranged husband, as well as sole custody of Beatrice.

Under the terms of the couple's alleged agreement, Mills will reportedly drop those demands and will in turn receive $48 in cash, plus a Georgian mansion worth $8 million.

$48 won't even buy a decent dinner these days; she'll have to go to McDonalds or starve.

What they say about Paul being cheap must be true. If she's smart, she'll hold out for more than $48 in cash. I expect it costs more than $48 in gas to get the Rolls all the way up the driveway...

I think the difference between $56 million and the $48 cash and $8 million mansion is being made up with tickets to the next Michael Jackson tour.

You'll spend $48 at the bar, while waiting for a table, here in NYC.

These media outlets and their incomplete stories. The only real story here is how much the lawyers are going get.

Yea, but even $56 mil wont buy a new leg .... nor will it turn a gold-digging ***** into a normal human being.

*Heather Mills breaks down in tears over 'gold-digger' jibes: ....Mills added, "If I was a gold digger, I would be a very wealthy woman now ... and I'm not."

If she had added the word "YET", then she'd be at least partially honest.

I think Glen nailed the real issue...as sad as divorce is, it's a challenge and competition to those who exploit the legal aspects.

I wish them both well....I feel for Paul, who, I think anyway, thought he was capturing another chance at the happiness he found with Linda.
