Anything new in ye olde shoppe?
Paul - do you have any new pics of your in-work projects?

Nothing too exciting. Problem is, you've all seen most of it before.
I've got three basses in the shop for refinishes, currently--two with new sparkle inlays. One is nearly done--the Azureglo you saw in that thread, for Bob Combs. I'm finishing up two acoustics, of which one is Richard's lefty.
I think I'll do a series of painting Richard's lefty. OK? We'll start it later today.

I'm going to try to have some pics of my 73 4001 AZ ready by the time Bob's AZ is done. I had to tear it all down and do some heavy cleaning after 34 years of duty. It won't look as clean as Bob's but it's a nice "relic". Dale F. might have even worked on this one since he was working for RIC then(I think).
73 Feb 4001, 73 March 4001, 73 April 4001, 73 May 4001, 73 June 4001, 73 July 4001

Ain't gonna be too many of those!
Alisha, with all due respect, I think an AZ acoustic would look like one of those $9.99 Chinese kids' guitars on Ebay.
There are some (very few) solid colors that look good on acoustics (JG and BB being two, IMO), but again IMO bursts look best and pearlescents/kandys next (like the venerable and short-lived Ruby). I am building a Pearl White Comstock for a customer that should be a knockout with the gold trim. Sort of a non-pimp White Falcon!
