It was like dating a BEAUTIFUL woman with a dull personality. But man did it have a great lead voice.

Nice geetars guys. Looking at Ron's photo above reminds me...I think the metallic colors look best on a contoured body. You really get to see how the color changes when the light hits it at different angles.

Midnight Blue, Desert Gold, Ruby, Silver, or Turquoise on and S bass or a 360. Mmmmmmmmm

Gene-

Very cool -- black and silver. Like Dave's 8-string bass, above. Those rides belong in Fort Knox.

Another possible variation -- Black Trim on Desert Gold -- plastic, hardware, the works. Not a small project, but could be killer. Anyone have one, custom or stock?

OK, I'm just about home. I'm hoping spring weather will greet us back in Wisconsin. I'm in Iowa now, and Robins are here.

To help get me in the mood, let's do something that looks like blue sky: Blueburst! For the week of 16-22 March, post pictures of Blueburst Ricks!

I can't believe I'm first again!

(That's the 330/12 BBR behind it.)
The 620 is a recent acquisition, so I haven't yet taken as many pictures of it as I should.

I really like the 620 and 660 models in blue! Both MID and BBR. You're so lucky doctor!

Oh, this one is going to hurt. I had a choice to either take a 4003BBR or a 4003DCM. I normally don't like blue guitars, but this is SUCH a sweet color.....

Blueburst is the most beautiful Ric COY!

Here's my own special variation on Blueburst: 1975 481 slant-fret, restored and refinned by PW.

Here it is posing with my 330/12 at an outdoor gig last summer:

I'm still waiting for my 370/12VP BBR. Seeing Kevin's with silver guards...mine may have a bit of customizing in store for it.

Those are gorgeous, every one of them! I've never been too big on blue guitars, but those could change my mind in a hurry!
