Hmmm...at this time, I've got a lot of smaller "cleanup"-type projects for friends, including a re-fret on a certain Capri, which just received its coat of varnish on Friday. The most difficult part of this on a beautiful old, worn instrument, is keeping it from looking too new! We'll see how this turned out in a day or two.
I'm beginning on several basses and a certain 366/12 which needs major surgery. This convertible will receive photo documentation. Then there's a couple of Combos, each receiving a unique treatment--more on these a bit later.
I've got a MMT replica bass and a flamed Flying "V" in the works (just stripped), and the list goes on from there.
Acoustics: I have a few built and waiting for paint.
It will be a productive last quarter 2007, I think.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Mark: Yes. Watch this section for pics.
As some of you may have noticed, I'm showing fewer photos. This is simply because the processes to restore basses and guitars are somewhat repetitive, and showing the same thing over and over again tends to be less informative and entertaining. I've been documenting the new processes and unusual situations, rest assured.
And the MMT bass will be covered fully.

Wrong! Sorry, but we NEVER tire of pics. And what was done a few months ago...well, searching through old posts is something most of us do only on occasion. Mostly we like news, even "boring" news.
Obviously, you do not have time to photo-document and post your every step...but if you did, we would all be interested, we would comment, and we would still be hungry for more.
Thanks for sharing your work with us, Paul.

I'm thinking just a few more pics and I should be able to do what Paul does...
I think Doritos may somehow be involved.
