No skunk stripe on front of body? White binding on neck but black binding on body? Were any made this way? Sure seems to be in great shape! This is a very tempting bass especially since my 1980 L/H mapleglow was stolen back in december.

That is the real deal - perfectly legit. The stripe is there but it is very light in color on the front side. I have never seen that before but with wood, anything is possible.

Yes it's legit. Nice bass.

The case I'm not too sure about, but a Rickenbacker could be ordered without a case in those days. Could be original, but it's not like the one my '79 came in.

The stripe is hard to see on the front, but is easy to see on the back.

My 1979 (righty) has a case just like this.
