BEAUTIFUL everyone, just BEAUTIFUL...I feel better now!
Anyone by chance know what the RAREST color is on a FL?
"Freedom of expression is important, but I have learned that people want to know how much you care before they care how much you know." The only time a bass player gets noticed is when he stops playing.
It would be impossible to tell, really. There could be a fretless in almost any color as they have been available since the '70s, I think. It could be that the rarest factory color(s) would be the various COYs, and perhaps Sea Green the rarest of those. I've only seen photos of three or four Sea Green basses, but, so far, none fretless. This doesn't count the possible refins out there, of course.
Some of the "rarest" fretlesses that I've seen are Bill Henshell's 4001SFL MG (above) and Gary Clauson's 4000FL Burgundy.

You'd have to add Jeff Thomas' 4003SFL to that list Paul. It seems S basses (4000 included) weren't considered good choices for FL for whatever reason. I never even considered a deluxe model when I ordered mine. I knew I wanted an S fretless from the start.
