I'd get a few sets, though I would swap oot the .10s for .09s and the .13s for .12s but I could do that on my own.

When will you find out if it's a go or not?

Mike is awaiting a response from Thomastik-Infeld, so I assume that we will hear about pricing and timing tomorrow [Monday morning].

The gauges will be:

E: 10P/10P
B: 13P/13P
G: 20W/10P
D: 25W/13P
A: 33W/20W
E: 39W/25W

The 27s were swapped for 25s, and the 23s for 20s, as per Karl's suggestions. The current RIC set uses 20s anyway, so I think that's a great idea.

Excellent Stuart. Image

This set will be a close to the original Beatles, Byrds, WHO and countless other great 60's recordings that used a Rickenbacker 12 string as possible.

The other great thing is if players find that flatwounds are not for them, going back to RIC factory strings will be no problem. No loose nut slots from trying out heavier gauges as found with other brands.

Please count me in too. I'd go for at least 5 sets, maybe more depending on price.

It will be interesting to see the quoted price on these strings. Purchasing the six flat wound strings for this set through "Just Strings" would cost around $21. The plain strings could be picked up locally.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
