Chris Squire in May/June Bass Guitar Magazine

Post by byu »

Coming in the May/June issue of Bass Guitar Magazine. This won't be out for a few months but it's something to look forward to.

Chris Squire - Yes
Perhaps one of the bass world's most influential players talks to BGM about the new album and his legendary Rickenbacker.

Now, Tony Cabibi, how did you know I meant you? Image BTW, I hear Chris has two projects in the works - a new Syn CD as well as "FOOW2" Hope these rumors are true. His website mentions the Syn project, another forum mentions the new "Fish". Hope it's not just a fish story!

Chris has released too few solo albums over the years, but I really love Fish outta Water!

I may have jumped the gun on the SYN CD... his website only states that he is working on a new solo CD, due out this summer. I am hopeful for more music from Chris Squire, be it solo, with The Syn, Billy Sherwood or YES - it's all good to me!

his website also says to please not buy the upcoming syn album,as he has nothing to do with it,and that it is being released without his permission.the new "solo" album does include 2 of the "new syn" members, however. it would be sweet if mr.pete banks were involved as well.....

Here it is Jim!

"Squire is working on a second solo album with Gerard Johnson (Funky Monkey, St Etienne, ex-Peter Banks) and Paul Stacey (Oasis, The Black Crowes, ex-The Lemon Trees), both formerly of The Syn who worked with Squire on Syndestructible. The album is being recorded at Stacey's Strangeways studio and they are aiming for a summer release. In a Mar 2007 post to alt.music.yes, Johnson said, "Chris, Paul (Stacey) and I are working on material now, which will be ready when it's ready and not before. We certainly hope to release something later this year though."
