It's really only (barely) visible for about 5 inches at the neck end of the body. Totally invisible past that point. Quite amazing, really!

seeing that gorgeous fg finish makes me think about refinishing mine-but i don't like to mess with an original oldie-beautiful bass,kevin!

Thanks! I love looking at it as much as playing it. That ambered FG always reminds me of a nice, juicy apple...mmmmmm.

It was my first good bass, & the wife told me when I'm gone she'll sell all but that one (I was playing it when we met).
