Hi ! .. I have a Standel mc6p mixing desk from the late 60's, I was wondering if anyone knew of where I could get a manual or any info on it. I have tried the Standel site but its a bit vague and needs some work so come on Bob its a powerful tool ! I was wondering specifically what the step down transformer would be for this, I am not sure if it 700 or 500 watts ? as they are both written on the back ? It looks beautiful and I know it will sound the business too as I took a look inside and all the caps have the Mosrite logo on them and its just the nicest layout I have ever seen so neat and tidy ! Definetly a product of love !
Not something I have ever seen before in the UK but you Americans must have used these in the 60's......
All mixed up !
All mixed up !

Amen to that Ventures comment, Anthony!
I was listening to "The Ventures Knock Me Out!" this morning at 7:30 on my home system--ON VINYL--and "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" sounds as good as it did back in '64.
Anthony--you like LEGOs?
I designed the LEGO writing system pen back in '97...the one with the interchangeable character beads, you know?
Er, actually, better...the sound system I've got is better now than my old Wards Airline with its twin 5 X 7s.
I've seen several of these mixers come on Ebay here in the last couple of years...they are the only Standel bargain left at $200 or so each.

“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

Hi Paul... in England lego make building blocks for adolescents and small children ? the phrase legobeast came from Jah Woosh on one of his 70"s albums, at least thats what it sounded like to my ears. The Standel mixer is standelling in the corner at the moment waiting for the moment I get some bits an pieces out of storage and then I can set it up, I will use it for vocals, I have 2 Goodmans Majister speakers with 15" bass cones from the late 60's ready, although 10" probably suit better for voice, rules just need to be broken. vinyl !!! I love it especially now no one is interested anymore you can pick up those 60" gems for next to nothing which would have cost an arm and a leg a while back, waiting for the "chancellors" Yo Yo to arrive in the post, just love those 60's garage punkers.. Have just looked at a Wards Airline on the web, thats some piece of valve hifi...
I have seen a few Standel items on ebay including a trasnsistor pa amp a while back which looked the business, I have a Reslo which I will be using for this purpose from the early 60's to set up in my home studio with some Grampian mic's, I have my Ric plugged through it at the moment and sure is beautiful.
I love the Ventures live in Japan at the moment that was fantastic sound.. those drums !!!!!
