Built like a tank!!
I' so pleased that RIC make their basses so well!!!
Last night at band practice, my foot got caught in a cable and I pulled my 4003 off the stand. It fell face down, full force.
S**t!!! Pulled her off the floor, checked for damage. None!
Played her and she hadn't even gone out of tune. QUALITY!!! LOL!

My 68 has taken that fall numerous times. It even violently went thru the Northridge quake. I still don't need to intonate it. I don't even know if the trussrods work because I never need to touch them.
Fess up, John. You used graphite back in the 60's.

Only cable is "vintage"!
With the wireless I always had the feeling of unwanted compression, but Brian may be right: not enough dough to buy the real prof stuff.

To run Rick-O-Sound you need two channels in the wireless rig anyway. I always run stereo Rick-O-Sound in every Rick bass I have with more than one pickup - even if the bass was not designed to be stereo

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

Good ones aren't too expensive. My used Shure ULXS was $600-ish. I hear no difference between it and a good quality cable. Having the wireless is one reason why I split my signal at the amp instead of at the bass. I never quite got the advantage of splitting the p/u's.....I've done it but it just never clicked for me. I prefer the combined p/u signal split into dirty and clean channels at my stereo amp. Plus less cable shananigans.
