Abbey Road on the River

Since there's been quite a bit of talk lately about tribute bands and such, I figured that I'd mention this. It's called Abbey Road on the River. It's held yearly in my town of Louisville, Kentucky, and it's 4 days of Beatles bands and offshoots. It attracts international tribute bands,local talent, and some minor league celebs in Beatles canon. Last year, Pete Best was there doing his thing of charging for autographs and his band played too. It's a hell of a good time and for those that can make it, I'd highly advise it. The dates this year are May 24-28. Here's the website

Like I said, a really cool time and there's always something going on and this year looks to be the biggest yet.

And I am in no way associated with this. It's just something to be really pumped about as it's in my neck of the woods.

Thanks for posting this Matthew. There's plenty of reason for you to get fired up! I've heard a lot of great things but haven't made it yet. Maybe this year I hope. Anybody else going?
