Thanks Chris! Thats helpful enough for me to know I need to switch to the alnico CTS's when Ted gets his copy on the market. I'll probably have to get another cabinet or make one though to handle the power.

We used to open with Song Remains the Same by Zep. Could be that.

My rig as set up at home (id only just bought the head) over on the left is my older ashdown head which i use at home, pluged into the trace elliot's speaker.

Trace Elliot fans - ever seen a two tone blue one? neither has anyone else it seems! (yeh i know thats not a rick there haha)

How year was that Rick you were holding? I've always wondered the history of my Rick, pre circa 1994.

That white Ric was a March 1978 model. Bought it new at Bandstand Music in Bellevue, WA for $625. I no longer have it, but it's still in the family. I sold it to my cousin years ago and I still have "visiting rights. I have recorded with it recently.

Well, i'm quite ashamed of my setup after everyone else's, but here is my messy (I attempted to make it look slightly descent setup).

I have a Legend 20w practice amp, and Fender Rumble 100w, 18" speaker and red LED's that flash to the music you play, I love it!

Oh, and my new Rick 4003 :D

No shame here. I use my Fender Rumble at home too. The SVT is a bit too much for my living room
I am good with my fingers and I can do it all night !

Haven't had much luck trying to post pics of my rig... but lemme run down the components:

An Ampeg SVP-CL preamp and a Stewart World 1.6 power amp... driving a pair of Mesa Powerhouse 2x12's.

Any bass going through that rig is gonna sound... well... to borrow a word one of our friends/fans used... STUPENDOUS!
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker
