I didn't realize the Rumble was that popular with with Rics! I'm not actually shamed, its just a small rig compared to all this huge cabs!

It seems most people play through quad stacks, rather than a single 18", which makes sense since Rics have that punchy tone.

Brian,

Thanks for putting some Mesa stuff in this tread !! I've been following this one hoping some would be using Mesa stuff...

I use Mesa as my primary rig. Sadly I dont have a pic at hand of ``my monster``...400+ head with a 2 x 15 cab. Seriously considering adding a 6 x 10 cab to the existing set up...

But I also have other set ups...

This is my Ampeg rig. Actually the 2x15 is powered by an SVT-CL.

Here's some more Mesa for ya. My 400 head is in the shop right now, but in the meantime, I picked up the D-180 for $222 from a guy to tide me over.

Hey Alvaro, how do you like the 2x12's? I was thinking of adding one of those with my 4x10.

If I had to describe the tonality of the 2x12's Chris, I'd have to use the word "thick". The attack is just the slightest bit "plusher" than a 4x10, but still much more punchy than your average 2x15. And they're quite a bit louder than the Acme 2x10's than they replaced, so the efficiency is much more "normal" than the Acme's.

I have heard of the 2x12's being paired with other cab configurations... but I really dug the 'two of a kind' idea!
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

I'm late as usual...

First pic is my Yorkville XS400 head & old Fender BXR 4x10 cab...

Second (if you squint) you'll see my Ampeg B100R in the background....sorry for the "non-Rick" content...

Wow, I'd like to have a 4004 with a fretboard that looked like that. I had a G&L 2500 Blueburst at one time but the fretboard was too wide(for me).
