Anyone remember Planet Patrol or Stingray?
Or how about Chuck McCann dressed up as Dondi or Little Orpan Annie while reading their comic strip of the day?

Hi Mark!!!
I can recall watching Whirleybirds as a kid.
Its easy to pick a chopper pilot, dark sunnies and a peaked cap.
TV did not start broadcasting in Australia until October 1956, just prior to the Melbourne Olympic Games. So,much of what was screened on early Aussie TV was US and UK sourced. Looking at the TV guide today actually, not much has changed.
Do you recall an Australian series made in the early sixties called Whiplash, starring Peter Graves (Mission Impossible)?
Have a read of this, some interesting names pop up. http://www.classicaustraliantv.com/whiplash.htm
John, we also got the Texas Rangers;I can still sing the theme song. Others I can recall are The Cisco Kid, Hopalong Cassidy, Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and who could forget Casey Jones "steamin and a rollin Casey Jones you'll never ....." sorry about that !!!!
Basically if you saw we saw it as well.
Ah the memories..........

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
Shane, I still remember the TOTR opening where the head ranger starts down the street then two at a time keep coming in (1 each side) to join him until all are abreast walking down to meet the bad guys. Ahhh, Saturday morning tv. TOTR, Sky King, Roy and Dale.... I used to dress in all black - shirt had the white rope piping trim, jeans, hat, and a black two gun holster. I believe the arm of the couch was my hoss.

Oh well, let's see...
No sorry I don't remember Whiplash. (I did watch The Rifleman though.)
By coincidence (or not) Peter Graves also played the father in Fury.
Here is a clip of Jon Gnagy, btw:

I can't remember what else I wrote about last night but there was some other stuff.
Oh, I remember...
Yes, I watched Space Patrol too. And there was another marionette show. I think it was called Super Car.
Also watched The Lone Ranger.
