Every response I've been able to come up with has me thinking "now, David, you sound just like your Dad 30 years ago".
Nothing I ever subjected him to sucked quite as badly as this. The word 'abominable' is too kind. There's no redeeming musical content at all. On second thoughts, strike the word 'redeeming'.
I'd rather listen to Vogon poetry.

You had to be there to experience the full emo context of this performance.
Glad I wasn't.

"I'd rather listen to Gamelan."
Jeez, thanks Kent...are you just checkin' to see if I'm still breathing or what?
For those who would rather listen to gamelan than, say, fingers on a chalkboard...if you're in Denver next Tuesday night, check us out at the King Center at the Auraria Campus downtown...we'll be playing on three separate orchestras: gender wayang, angklung and the big semara dana rig after the intermission, and we'll be accompanying authentic Balinese dancers.
I solemnly promise we will not perform 'Pain In My Heart'...

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

I smiled when I first read that Dane. Obviously the ploy worked. It stirred you from hibernation. Good to see you are still breathing. Have fun at the concert.

Ah, if only it were hibernation, my friend...my couple of years of self-employment put me so far in the hole I had to bite the bullet and get a j*b (pardon my langauage). I'm now very busy making money for The Company and putting other people's kids through college...speakin' of which, I'm out the door to do it some more...
Nice to talk to y'all for a moment or two...strum 'em if ya got 'em...

Cool post! Babes in Toyland were my first actual rock show at a real rock venue. Dec. 22 1994 at First Avenue in Minneapolis. They were a very very good band. The singer Kat has a new band that might or might not be still around called Katastrophy Waitress and the drummer is just a cool one. I see her at shows every now and then. She also is in a cool new band called Koalas.
