New 370 FG pix wanted

Post by stubby »

Is there anybody out there who has recently received a 370 FG and would be willing to share pics? I recall a recent thread about the "new" FG tints (more like the older, deeper FGs) and I'd like to see some picture examples of this, if there are any. A 370 would be especially appreciated.

Would 370s differ from 360s in color?
Got to start with one make it a 360/12.

No, but perhaps Bill wants to see the look of the guitar full-tilt. That 3rd pickup makes a big difference visually.

I ask for a friend really. He has a 370 on order - I asked a couple of questions on this guy's behalf some months ago (actually on his wife's behalf-she ordered it as a surprise for his 40th birthday and I helped her navigate the world of Rics, with the generous help of all you). His birthday was in January and I think he's jonesing a bit right now with the wait. I thought I'd try to find him a little something to help hold him over. I agree with John - the third pickup does make a big visual difference and I haven't seen a 370 in the more recent FG.

Hi Bill !!!

Here are two hi res pics of my 360/12FG. It is a 2006 model week 16 build. I am not sure if this is the new tint but its a beautiful color anyway.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

Thanks Shane. What do the experts here think? New FG tint or no?

Bill, I don't know if I'm an expert or not, but I like the amber fireglo COY in 2006. That lighter tint that's kinda orangish red with the amber center really captures that '60 look. I would like to see RIC use this color on all of the V and C series fireglo finishes.

IMHO that is what fireglo should look like.

In another posting though Charles, I think it was Ben Hall (I could be wrong in this) who said that they have recently changed the Fireglo tinting subtly so that it is more like the older style FG instead of the pinkier tinge. I was wondering if Shane's picture showed this changed FG or not.
