Very cool J-Dog! Is this your first Rick acoustic?

Thanks everybody! I've got the shpilkas. This thing is one of the most beautiful guitars I've seen. I didn't even go straight home today. Went directly to a bandmate's house to jam. He plays an acoustic weissenborn (sp?) lap steel thing. Of course, the G octave broke as soon as I tuned it, but that's par for the course, isn't it? The thing sounds very bright without being TOO jangly (yes, that IS possible) and it has lots of nice focused, friendly bass. Neck feels like a Ric 12 electric. I never noticed the beveled edge on the TRC, and what looks like extra-sparkly gold backpaint. Other than a small hump around the 12-15th frets, it plays amazingly. Thanks to the fellow forumite who "helped" with this purchase (although it's no surprise I'll let him identify himself)

Without further achoo...

Oh and yes this is my first Rick acoustic. I got to play some at the 75th party and fell in love. Knew I'd have to get one sooner or later. And it had to be a 12. I got lucky getting one with maple sides and fireglo.

Bee-ooo-ti-ful!!! Congrats, Jdog!

P.S. I have trouble with the darn octave G strings, too ...

Jdog, that's in a Rick jumbo case, not a dreadnought. If it's in good shape and you want to swap for a dread case, let me know.
