4004L here, Mark Gilbert has one too.
Scott Doseck has a 4003.
Dave Pascoe has a 4003FL.
John Williams has a 4005!

Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Mine hasn't been blue since probably around 2005. I wonder if it would be blue if you could strip just the clear varnish off? Anyway, it doesn't matter what it looks like, it's the most awesome playing and sounding bass I've ever owned.

Wow, comparing those two pics really shows how much it turned. Since the finish warranty is one year and this probably turned green after the expiration, you have to wonder what kind of remedy RIC would be offering for future situations. I have this bass scheduled for a refin so I'm not concerned as far as this example.

I've got a 325/12BB, and I'm building a C58 and a 700S/12 in BB, both for myself.

Paul - is the 325/12BB one of those C58 prototypes with an F-hole?

Steve: You betcha. And my new C58 will be holed and finished to match.

Paul - interesting that you're building a C58. Will you build me a 4005? Image

Interesting to note that, after one year, my BB has faded ever so slightly to almost Mint Green! And it hasn't been sitting in the sun, either!
