730L/12 Name that tune

Post by jdogric12 »

Here you go! I just set up the Neumann mic (no pickups) and sat in front of it and sang a little bit. All one mic, so it doesn't sound as great as it could, but it gives you an idea of what the guitar can do. It needs a setup, so some of the 9th-12th fret notes sound a little spanky. But that should clear up no problem.

If you have eight minutes to invest, you'll get a laugh.

Here's my challenge: if anyone can name all the songs in this, title and artist, I'll send them a set of brand new unopened RIC electric 12 string strings. I changed some lyrics when I didn't know them, but if you know the songs, you will win. Good luck! And no this is not an A.F. joke!

Thanks!

By the way just to clarify, the FIRST person to guess em wins, not "anyone."

Jdog, do you plan on installing a pickup in your 730L/12?

You Were Meant for Me - Jewel
Stop Start Again - Hautewerk
I'm Moving On - Led Zeppelin
(bits of other songs, maybe Eagles 'Hotel California', or Jason M - 'Nachos'.. Image

Rich - I'm thinking about getting a pu installed. But I'm having too much fun playing it right now to worry about it!

Great work, everyone. Keep it up!

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the Zep song, so that must be a fluke! Also, my version of That's Alright is taken from a recording of Albert King on a live radio show in the... hmmm.. 70s I think? But I'll accept J.R. Every blues artist has played every blues tune at one point or another!

Sounds great, Jdog!! I could only get 'Stop Start Again' but really enjoyed listening to it all.

One of the missing ones was "Supper's Ready" by Genesis.
