My guess is your in for a treat if you go John. Both teams seem to be already playing at playoff level. Good, physical stuff. I was deaf for two days coming out of last Tuesday's game.

Mick, your forgiven. Anyone who loves Les Canadiens and lives in T.O. is automatically forgiven. Image

Gordon, Bill, this will be a nail biter week for both Habs and Leafs fans! That 8th spot may very well come down to the Habs/Leafs game.I would love to be at the A/C Center for that! Talk about a barnburner! However, keep an eye on the 'Canes guys.

Like most Tampa residents, I'm a fairweather Lightning fan through and through.

As a child I was a big Habs fan, but as hockey came south, I started to like the local teams, Lighting and Thrashers. One day before I die, I'm going to New York and watch the Rangers and Devils play at MSG. This has been a dream since way back. We had a ECHL team in Tallahassee,FL a few years back, but they moved to South Carolina. I was a big fan, and went to every game. Man I miss live hockey. Peace.

Well, opening day is great, of course, but baseball really doesn't matter for a while! The NHL is really in the heat of things right now.

After the Stanley Cup, though, i'm all Mets for a while.

You're showing your age, John! In the OLD DAYS, every sport had their own season. That's what I was alluding to. Guess I'm showing my age also! Image

With all the money tied up now, the owners can't afford to do that now.

Oy, guys...Ducks are the way to go. Just to keep it in the RIC vein, I'm sure John Hall would concur!

Unfortunately my team, the Los Angeles Kings, weren't able to do much this season but they're primed and ready to compete next season - and - we have a big pocket full o' draft picks, a former Stanley Cup-winning coach, some good, young talent, and high hopes!

In all seriousness, I say it'll be Ducks v. Sabres in the finals (although I'm sure Detroit, Nashville, New Jersey and Pittsburgh will take issue with that).

Been a Kings fan for over 20 years...(sigh)...maybe we'll get the Cup one of these years.

Leafers keep the hope alive. If it comes down to a shootout on Saturday night, I will have a breakdown.
PS: My last game of the season was last night, single playoff game, first place (us) vs second place (them) for the "championship". I managed to tie the game at 1-1 with 8 seconds left on the clock. Overtime solved nothing, so we all went to the bar for wings & beer. I love this country!

I'd love to see both the Leafs and Habs get in...but it sucks that it will be one or the other.
If it can't be the Wings, then I am rooting for the Leafs.
My pick for the Cup final is Buffalo / Detroit, if Buffalo has to play the Sens, that will be a bloodbath! Can't wait!!
