TRC Paint - Need advice please.

Post by sashua »

This has probably been asked in the past but what kind and, if possible, what exact brand of paint is best for touching up a vintage white TRC...and how is it best applied?

Thanks in advance!

Folks here have suggested White Out or acrylic model hobby paint. I had some chipping on my "Mink" TRC, and I used Polly Scale flat white (model hobby paint). Make sure it is cured a good 24 hours before reinstalling so that the new paint doesn't "like" the headstock more than the plexi and chip off again.

It's been suggested (by someone else) to apply a coat of wax to the back of the repainted & cured TRC and a coat to the headstock to prevent further problems.
A brilliant idea, I thought!
Plus five minus five!
