Your showroom, Dave? LOL...

When I get a bass with Grovers I just grab the back cover and try to wiggle it, if it doesn't move it's probably going to be ok. If it does wiggle, just take it off and re-swage the pins, it's pretty easy to do.

Not mine Paul, (I wish). A non-forum member who is sicker than me.

It is okay to be that "sick" though. Image
Any 21 fretters in there?Image
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Dave, while I do not think either of you is "sick", you CAN brag that you have more headstocks on display than him Image

Segio, no 21-ers, but all are 71 or 72's.

Elys, you didn't see the other 3 walls in his office. Image

A non-forum member? We need to get that person in here to spread the sickness even more! That's a wonderwall right there!

With so many from that era, and if he is close to you in Philly, Dave, I wonder if one of them is a 1971 4001 wearing the SN KC012 in eggplant burgundy? Image

He might not know he wound up buying my old stolen bass from some shady character. She disappeared in the late 80s from the Annapolis MD area Image

Elys he is way South of me and MD.

Next time I am there I'll check out the SN for sure, however I recall his 71 being a FG.

OK, well then my momentary paranoia is certainly unfounded, and I apologize! I thought ALL of those 13 or so basses were 1971 and 1972 from the description Image

My '71 eggplant burgundy is KA002. Hard to believe that by March '71 Rick serial numbers would be up to KC012. I guess they weren't making many basses then...

"momentary paranoia"

No worries, (as the Aussie's say). Image

If I had a 71 Ric stolen from me, I'd still be ******, even 25 years later.
