Sounds like a nice thing to me. I wonder why people like us go gaga over guitars but you don't hear much about all the various keyboards and pianos the Beatles played. Probably they just don't have the personality of guitar.

I don't play much piano, I never learned as a kid and am too lazy to take proper lessons now, but sometimes I'll sit down and play simple versions of old songs, and think it's nice that when John or Paul or anybody else first wrote a tune, it might have been just simple chords like that on the piano.

I read they did most of their Sgt Pepper songwriting together on pianos at Paul's place around the corner from Abbey Road.

Some of it for sure. Considering it is said that it required more studio time than any other previous pop recording, though, it's a fair bet much of it was written in the studio.

And John of course said he wrote Good Morning, Good Morning in front of his TV at home after he heard it in a commercial.
