I had a dream!

Post by marc61 »

A strange Rickenbacker dream to be exact.

An old friend sold me a Rickenbacker guitar very cheap. All of a sudden, I found myself in California outside the Rickenbacker facility. So I figured, I wander my way inside to find someone to help me identify it.

John, Ben, Kenny were all there but too busy to help, they just kinda said hello but, had to move on...seemed to be a lot of activity, almost like Santa's workshop. Very weird and very surreal. Woke up with jet lag...ha ha...

OK - everyone wants to know what the guitar looked like - It was Mapleglo, had two pickups, was hollowbody but kinda thinline. Didn't seem like a model I had seen before, and there was no case.

and NO I don't have pics....It was a dream..

See that's the problem with me missing that event last year...I don't know all the characters who were supposed to be in it.

I am beginning to think the guitar I was sold was a 330.

Marc, have you been sniffing the CV fumes from new Ricks again?

I love that smell too!

I also had a dream once - that i went to a local "second hand instruments" shop and saw a 760J there - used, with lots of scratches but not broken and a good player - for about $400. I didn't have that money on me, so i asked the shop assistant to reserve it for me, came back home, took money, got back and bought it. I brought it home, made a few pics, resized them and started a new thread at the forum titled "Look what i've found", and started uploading pics on the site...
And then i woke up.

Sheena, In my dream, I paid $130 cash for the guitar. It was about all I had on me.
