What's the worst?
Well, of course, Twist and Shout is a cover song, not an original Beatles composition. If we're going to start including cover songs in this "What's the Worst" competition, then my votes would be for Besame Mucho, A Taste of Honey, and Till There Was You... but I thought we were talking about Beatles compositions here, not just Beatles recordings.

Talking bout great Lennon vocals (thread twist), since we don't rehearse enough, I play stuff in my car to sing along with to warm up for upcoming gigs.
I put on "Everybody's Got Something To Hide 'Cept For Me And My Monkey" (why don't we see great titles like that anymore?).
I managed it, hurting myself in the process. Lennon shreds, making singing T&S a breeze!

I'm right there with you Michael, John's vocals on LMKA are indeed awesome!I love the mood in it. The subject matter and "whimsiness" (?) of this one, though, leave no doubt as to why it was never released!
Probably could have been slotted onto With The Beatles album, but only that one. Could you imagine them on the train in AHDN singing that??

The worst Beatle's song is "If You've Got Trouble". This is the truth, and all other choices are wrong.

Love the Beatles, but I have difficulty listening to some of the Ringo throwaways. I also dislike "Don't Pass Me By" which reminds me of constant hammerstrokes to the cranium.
But I LOVE Ringo, his style, his drumming, his voice. And yes, there is some charm to "If You've Got Trouble". But, sadly, it sucks. (Unlucky Charms. They're tragically delicious.)

Bad Boy is not one of the Beatle's better efforts, but it's best feature is Lennon's vocalcord-ripping singing.... ala Twist & Shout. Also, what really helps it along is the use of the piano for the repeating riff.
.... actually, the more I play it in my head the more I like it again. I take back my previous posting. BAY BOY is a GREAT raw gutsy ballsy rock'n'roll song.

I've got to agree that "Don't Pass Me By" is probably the absolute worst Beatles recording - followed closely by "Piggies". I've been skipping over these for 39 years now.
IMHO, "Here, There, and Everywhere" is probably one of the most overlooked best - especially the updated rendition on the "Real Love" EP. It still leaves me breathless.
But just for everyday Beatles joy, my money's on "I'm Looking Through You" and "Doctor Robert" - false start and false ending respectively...
