Yeah, maybe so. Something I failed to 'fess up to is that I downloaded a recording of a live concert RM did, perhaps in England; the MC had an English accent anyway. And Ballad of Easy Rider, Mr. Space Man, TTT, MTM, (even a Bob Dylan version in a 2/4 folkie style), I Wasn't Born to Follow, Jolly Roger, and a whole bunch of others are on that. So it seems like I have it already.

I think Roger needs to do another project like "Treasures From The Folk Den". I think that is a fantastic CD, one of his best.
The current "Silkie of Sule Skerry" track is a great example of what could be done. There's a lot out there, but they are not all traditional/public domain and royalties would be involved.
I know the Folk Den stuff is free, and am grateful to have it, but I think a CD project which might feature other composers (Dylan, Woody, Pete Seeger & many more) as well as traditional and newer stuff would really create an interest from McGuinns' fans as well as other "Folk" lovers.
A 'proper' new CD if you will. Just thinking out loud - anybody have an opinion?

JimK,
I assume you mean a BitTorrent download and not a commercial download. I don't want to start an argument at all. I also "own" several downloaded shows. But my philosophy has always been if the artist "approves" of the practice (or at least doesn't actively forbid it) then I will also support them by also purchasing any commercially released live material.
McGuinn seems to have a good attitude about this. He mentioned at the last Barns show that he played a concert once and that videos of the show appeared on YouTube by the time he got back to his hotel. And said if anyone videoed this show to please e-mail him a copy. That seems to be a healthy attitude to have in this day and age.
Here, by the way, is what the signed copies of 'Spain' look like:
