I'm not sure what the 5th knob on that 360 does though...

Thanks Scott, some interesting finish work in those guitars.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

"The “Fish Out of Water” Bass is a 4001C64 (donated by RIC)"

Is it me, or does it have the "correct" V63 style headstock?

They should have just done an actual Pete Buck replica, and stuck a single sticker on that bad boy ! But heck, these are for charity, right, so I should just shut up ... zip.

I'd like to see a close-up of the 360's TRC. It appears that its transparent. Also, were the decals applied on top of the finish or was a clearcoat sprayed over them?

The point seems to have been missed. By their own standards they are NOT SUPPOSED to be replicas. This is not a celebrity's guitar player's instrument auction but rather a celebrity designer's instrument auction (though some designers might also be players).

Look at the opening page to see the range of people donating guitars:

Whoa! That auction is seriously strat-heavy! Glad to see some Ricks in a(u)ction over there!

It was originally a Fender sponsored event when it started in Paris but there apparently was some falling out along the way.

I'm having a deja vu moment about that Fish out of Water Bass. Wasn't there a thread here about a bass being auctioned on Ebay that looked just like that? Or was that in another life? ;-)

Nice to see the toaster pickup as an image for the "The Guitars" page.

I like Bryan Adams' contribution, and Nick Rhodes made a LightShow type.
