That's not too bad, Bob! If we assume that it takes you an average of about two minutes to type each post that works out to 33 hours and 20 minutes of typing. Over the five months you've been contributing that would only be about thirteen minutes and twenty seconds of every day spent here with us. What would you rather be doing? Time well spent, say I.

A very creative bit of work that sent shivers up my spine. I love the high contrast presentation.

Bob: You have my gratitude for sharing your experience with regard to Rickenbackers and those who have played them over the years. What do you need in Peru?
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks Peter and Lindsay,
I need a job so I don't spend three hours every day in the internet cafes! Actually I'm meeting some musicians here, and have already joined one band and I'm the young one like George!, haha. We are playing all Beatles so far, which is great for me, as I love Mac's melodic, very creative bass lines, and actually he's the reason I play bass and not guitar. (played guitar first but always wanted a bass) The singer was in a famous band here in Perú during the 60's called Los Daltons, complete with a Farfisa. My wife has one of their CD's and one of their hits was with a Spanish version of "Last Kiss" (Where oh Where can my baby be, the lord took her away from me, etc.)it was huge in the states by "J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers" and happened to be the first single I ever bought because of the bass line in it. The Beatles or Stones weren't my first because my parents used to buy me the Lp's for Christmas, they knew what I liked.
And I look forward to this forum everyday, it's the best 13 minutes and 20 seconds I spend in the day.
And everyone I jam with loves the Rics, it really impresses them when I pull it out of the case, one guy I met who moved here from California about twenty five years ago, had never seen one in the flesh. (wood?) These guys know all the British and American stuff, like The Ventures, Beatles Stones, Animals, etc. I am pretty impressed with the level of musicianship, and the breadth of knowledge I have seen so far here.
