Beat a dead horse . Toasters / Hi Gains

Post by zoomduck »

OK . I have searched the info on this forum but.....what is the difference between 1 year old Toasters and 1 year old Hi Gains . I have both . I do not care about any other years , windings , etc . Oh wait!......I also have a set of year 1982 Hi Gains . These are all guitar - 6 bobbin pickups . ?? Who just slapped the back of my head ?

To the best of my knowledge(and that's very limited) the guitar toaster and the bass toaster are identical per year. The only difference was the mounting plate used to secure it to the body or to the guard.
Yes the bass toaster has 6 pole pieces. If I have made a mistake someone please correct me.
This may or may not answer part of your question. Also it's very possible that I didn't answer ANY part of your question. Image

"Black widow". There's a fine name for a line of bass guitar pickups.Image

If I may put forward a slice of personal philosophy, I feel that Man has ruled this world as a stumbling, demented child-king long enough!!
