I think she wants to see more, John.

I'll get some pix, Alisha, even though it will be much later in the night.

It's looking like I am not going to go. I know I'll buy another bass if I go and I just don't need to do that right now.

Phlemmy: Don't let that scare you away. I hardly ever buy anything at these shows.

It's a 3hr drive each way to spend $20 to get in. Yes, it would be cool to meet some of you folks, but I'm sure I'll find something that I just "have to have" but certainly don't need. As much as I'd like to think I can find another reasonably priced Ric, I doubt that's the case. But I am always looking for older BC Richs, Kramers and Aria Pros. I love that early 80s metal stuff! ugh

Wouldn't you know it, that Graham and Peter come to Houston the one day that I'm stuck in the office.

So get unstuck! Play hooky! Tell then you are mad as h%@l and you're not gonna take it anymore!

They'll think you've been watching too many reruns of "Network" on cable TV and are temporarily insane, and you'll get the rest of the day off Image

Elys, that was yesterday. They're already in Dallas this morning. I'll catch up with them later this evening or early tomorrow.

Besides, I can't leave just yet. I'm awaiting for FedEx to deliver a certain package that was shipped from San Francisco.

Well wouldn't you know it.............Pete dragged me to Southpaw Guitars in Houston and bought a G****n Songwriter 12string acoustic. Very nice. He commented how light the case was.....I agreed. Then we drove up to Dallas and checked in to the hotel. Had a few beers and then went to bed. I said to Pete - "play me a song on your new guitar" .........when he opened the case....it was empty Image It seems he picked up the wrong case when we left the shop Image The look on his face was priceless! I've never laughed myself to sleep before Image I'm sure he'll see the funny side of it one day!!

Well, wouldn't you know it!!! I bought a new geetar in Houston and Mr "Helpful" Griffiths took it from the shop and put it in the car trunk for me. It wasn't until we had driven to Dallas and consumed plenty of beer that I opened the case for a strum. Total look of disbelief and horror. Graham had only picked up the wrong case and I had an Air guitar!!! Yes it was an empty case. How Graham laughed himself to sleep last night! He thought that it was even funnier than the Harley windshield that I bought that is 1" bigger than my suitcase! Luckily Richard Bengston is saving the day and picking it from Southpaw and bringing it to Dallas for me, which saves us a 500 mile round trip on Monday.

By the way, my version is the true version of events!!!

What a story! You guys are too much. I have to admit I did find it to be pretty funny. I don't know how hard I would have laughed if it were my guitar still 500 miles away, but since it wasn't...
There ought to be a handsome tip in it for Richard.
