Well, it's my Birthday

Post by atomic_punk »

Well, it's my birthday this weekend (Saturday) and, as always, it seems, I am doing a birthday show Friday night / Saturday early morning, (so it counts..)
Turns out now we are going to be recording the live show for a CD / DVD. No pressure, right?

I've been hauling around other basses to the gigs to keep the Rick 4003S5 minty at home...but I realized it NEEDS to go to this gig!

I pull it out, play it for an hour, and realize it has EVERYTHING I have been trying to get the other basses to do, without even trying!!

So it's going to the gig and will hopefully be appearing on YouTube and other video places soon. And....it makes me want to sell the pretender basses and just play this one all the time.

Happy birthday, Steve! I guess that was the best B'day present, realizing you had your sound already. Image

Happy Birthday Steve! Today is actually my brother's birthday. To celebrate, I'm taking him to Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs lose!

Thanks everyone, I'll be sure to post some pics from the gig...

We just had our gear truck stolen a few weeks ago, with a lot of our PA and monitors in it (no bass equipment lost, thankfully), so I've been kinda hesitant about taking the Rick out to play.
No stopping me now! (I will be keeping a close eye on it at all times!!)
