Good grief, I glanced at the second and thought it was my original Ric which was stolen from me around 1986. That looks exactly the same, but with half inch spacing; mine was an '80 (TC). Not a great bass, but I'd like it back regardless! I'm always amazed it hasn't turned up yet, in these e-bay days...

Nah, one piece. It also had the treble pickup "beefed up" by Kent Armstrong....
