"Cool pic, Erik. Too bad the Genz-Benz rig was disappointing to play through."
I absolutely love my Genz Benz head. I bought a GBE600 on the Musician's Friend closeout a year or two ago, and I couldn't be happier. My GBE600 is running a pair of Bag End 15 cubes - a S-15X-D (w/coax tweeter) and a S-15D. The rig sounds absolutely fabulous. The power is rated extremely conservatively for the amp - I'm still getting used to how much available headroom can WHOMP out with a hard attack here and there.
The GBE amps are extremely tweakable. A very slight adjustment on the EQ can have drastic results.
Here's a very raw rehearsal recording from last weekend. The recording was made using a single Shure SM57 hanging from above straight into my drummer's laptop. My 4003 is a 2006 model which I got in March or April of last year, and it still has the stock Ric strings on her (1 year old). Genz Benz GBE600 with the master at 9'oclock through my single Bag End S-15X-D.
Unfortunately, the vocals are nearly inaudible due to our amp and PA placement in the little room.

This is the first picture of me I have posted.
Granted there's not much of me or my RIC but you get the idea!
The Marshall isn't mine. I'm standing in front of my SVT!
