DCM...there and gone.

Did anyone see the DCM at Bass Emporium? Appeared sometime Saturday - I checked on it this morning - in stock at $4999.99. Gone.

Amazing.....just amazing....

I hope that wasn't one of the "reallocated" ones.

It would take a pretty unscrupulous dealer to do that to someone who ordered and prepaid for one in good faith. You would think that RIC could do something about that if the dealer actually broke a contract with the buyer. Despite the fact that the dealer is actually RIC's customer, it stands to reason that RIC has the dealers bound in their contracts to one or more clauses that penalizes the dealer if the dealer engage in fraudulent activities with regards to the ultimate retail customer in the course of taking a retail customer's order for a Rick product. And even if not, there is plenty of relief for the retail customer in taking the dealer to court...

I go to Bass Emporium's shop weekly and don't get any unscrupulous vibes from them.

FYI - He has one that's not on the site that is for sale at the same price. I laid my own eyes on it today. The beauty of it defies description. I'm not much on the gold guard and tc cover, but it works so perfectly on that bass. the wine color is exquisite.

i almsot bought it, but it's something that i'd never play so it was pointless.

When I asked about him ordering one several months back he said he did, but was going to keep it. I did not realize he got 2 in though. May have to drop by tomorrow........

Mark,
That would be my bass. I offered this in the For Sale forum here and received two(!) responses. I figured it was then off to Craigslist, and then to eBay.

I will ship to forum members (if there is interest). The "no shipping" on the Craigslist post was to avoid the "Hi. I live in Uzbekistan and I'd like to buy your bass" replies.

BTW, shipping included for forumites.
