Four Thousand Three?

Post by tennis_nick »

A thought occured. The Gearwire guy reviewed a bass and called it the Rickenbokker Four double Oh Three..

I always called it a Four Thousand Three. I just figured thats what it was, the way we call it a three sixety , and not a three hundred and sixety.

So What IS the proper way of saying it?

Maybe the reviewer was an Aussie. Whenever you get two of the same number in a row down there you call it double.

Example--the phone number 772-5555 would be spoken as: "Double seven two, double five, double five."

Maybe it should be a Forty - aught - Three.
Like a .30-06.
