I've got some of the ex Brian Epstein acetate 45's from the lot broken up by his brother I think: a No. 21 Mono White Album(but I've read there were prob sev. runs of No's.)a couple of promo 78's(big Asian comm'y here):a promo orig. Butcher:Eskimo cover 'Hits';Stereo PPM:Loud cut R.Soul:606 mix Revolver.Oh and the Black Dwarf letter Lennon sent in 69 about Rev'n/life.And a 4ft sq. Rev'r. pos display.And anyway..so what!Love life'n be kind...

Had three..sold them all. All three were 2nd state..paid 50 cents/$55/$50...most one sold for was $700.

I have a 2nd state mono in excellent shape, and a peeled stereo in VG (split seam about 5 in along bottom, otherwise it'd be excellent as well.)

Other than vinyl, a few copies of each of their old US and UA catalog on cassette, which I guess is the sonic polar opposite of collecting vinyl.

Well, what are the most coveted ones? MMT in mono? Early releases in stereo? First pressings of "Meet the?" I found a nice copy of MMT in Mono last weekend. It looks great but unfortunately has a skip in it. Ah, vinyl.

Anyone else have Harrison's "Wonderwall Music?" I had a British boxed set version of "Let It Be" with a picture book inside. Sold it on EBay for $175 a few years back. I also have the bootleg "Kum Back," which I bought for $3 back in 1969.

I have a pretty complete collection of Beatles on vinyl and several on hard discs. Savage Young Beatles is vinyl but thicker and hard. I have 45's on Swan Records also and the original Yesterday and Today. Growing up in Southern California gave us the 1st releases since Capitol Records was close by and the distribution warehouses sent truck loads here. Introducing the Beatles on V J records and Beatles Second album came out before Meet the Beatles. Anything by the Fab Four we could find we bought. I even have some weird stuff, like The Beetles or The Bugs, these were copy bands riding the wave trying to make a buck...most never got past the bargain bin at K-Mart.. I've got some bootleg albums that are pretty interesting. Wonderwall I bought when it 1st came out, I was a big G H fan and bought everything I could find by him....Now I'm gonna have to get out the turn table and listen to some of these old records...

My brothers had a lot of those Tollie, Swan, VJ singles. They must have sold pretty well at some point. Speaking of trying to make a buck, Capitol was perhaps the worst, eh? Not only stripping the albums of tunes, but also doing the incredibly bad "Story" and as a double album at that.

Boy, did you hit the nail, Glenn. Capital milked their fame for every nickel they could get. Besides "The Beatles Story", there was also the "Love Songs" LP, "Rarities", "Reel Music" and some others.

Oh yeah, Stan. The fabs were huge in my house, and we had all of the butchered Capitol catalog save the repackages (I had friends who had 62-66, etc. But we never had those.) I went to a huge vinyl sale about 8 years ago and could not believe how many of those were in the bins.
