Have we all gone nuts!!!!!

Post by mgrendel2 »

Please tell me if we are all crazy. On Ebay, two 4005's @ $7200.00 or more, a DCM @ $4200.00. I just can't believe it. Someone please wake me up, I cant stand this nightmare any longer. LOL

Welcome to the world of Rickenbacker on Ebay!

"You ain't seen nothin yet" Mitchell!

There already was a 4003 DCM that sold for $5700.00, a few V63's that sold for over $2500.00, a CS that over a year ago sold for $7200.00, Autumn Glo's for over $2500.00, and I will not even mention the RARE birds!

The prices aren't coming down!

What I find more interesting is all the mid 70's 4001's and even 4003's that go for much more than they did last year at this time.

There are a few 4001DCM's available in the $4500 range,v63's haven't seem to have been selling for the prices I think they deserve

IIRC the last Blackstar sold for some crazy price, too. Just wait until the next 4003 Shadow shows up on eBay ...

it is time for a market correction ...

I am not going to pay those obscene prices for a bass ... I build my own for a few hundred bucks ...

It is a shame that nice instruments have become investments and collectors items ... they are supposed to be played ...
