Still the bass volume knob missing, his luthier didn't have one?
Now at least the two slanted J-Bass-PUs are gone. If it was again the same luthier who did this cruelty to the bass, I really wonder what neck PU he used this time? The modern amplification can cope with all Rick PUs and still leaves the original sound characteristics at least.

I believe the original mods were done by that Dawk guy who modded also Ronnie Dio's EB3 and Graig Gruber's non-reverse T-Bird and Joey DeMaio's 4001. Roger wanted more bass and said to Dawk that he liked the Jazz pickups or something. I wonder if they knew about the cap then? And if it still has the cap on?
>I think that neck pickup is too wide to be a Bart
It very well could be a Bart, just not the RIC replacement model. I have a bart that looks exactly like that...I think it's a one-off, or something long discontinued, since I've never seen this particular model in their catalog. It's a fantastic pickup, and it used to be in the bridge position of my 4001...would've been great in the neck, too...deep, with great clarity.
