That just means that the server running the scripts can't talk to another server, usually the SQL server. I am sure they will soon restore connectivity between one server and the other, perhaps by rebooting one or correcting whatever temporary unscheduled maintenance they are having to do, and then all will be well again.
Hopefully someday soon they will start using an inexpensive clustered server suite or backup mirrored server using now-established practical offsite backup at another datacenter. Under such a model, the primary site would have failed over to another element of the cluster or to the backup site immediately and you would never have known there were problems. Everything would have stayed up with much much higher availability.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!
They are up an running. We all hope for such a short outage.
