Alisha's Aussie Rickenbacker vacation

Post by ozover50 »

I thought it might be appropriate to start a new thread for Alisha's trip. We'll be posting pics, comments, etc. so keep your eyes peeled!! Image

Darren, Robyn and I got together last night and we're all just soooo excited and ****-a-hoop about Alisha's visit and very proud that she chose to come and spend some time with us Aussie Rick nutters!

We'll make sure she gets home in one piece - perhaps a little frayed around the edges, however......... Image

Bring it on!!

I heard that John Simmons was intrigued about the "****-a-hoop". ;-)

From answers.com:

1. Being in a state of boastful elation or exultation.
2. Being askew.

[From the phrase to set **** on hoop, to drink festively.]

So there!! Image

"Do you guys play guitar on the left down there?"

Or, are your strings wound in the opposite direction?

She was due to be touching down at 9:35am today (May 10th), Greg. The flight departure was delayed for more than 2 hours, so it will be interesting to see how much time they make up in the air - if any.

Graham: Don't worry about it, mate. I'm sure a ride in your Reliant will be far more exciting than anything we've got planned over here!! Image

Update: The flight was 2 hours 20 minutes late taking off but has picked up 1-1/2 hours in flight. Landing in Sydney at 7:55am - due in Melbourne at 10:25am..... four hours from now.

Woohoo!! Image

Houston, the eagle has landed.

Alisha arrived safely this morning and is now hanging out with Aitch.

Tonight we're out to a restaurant and then off to see a local Melbourne band "Airway Lanes".
