1997 MB 4003S/5 on Ebay

Post by rictified »

looks in nice shape, has black trim, bidding starts at $749.00 and I think there is a BIN at $1000.00
Also Grover slimlines that the owner says won't fit a Ric bass as someone bought them and sent them back, but they look identical to the old slimlines on the early 70's basses. I sent him an e-mail to ask what year the Ric was that the person who bought them had. starts at $60.00

Yeah, I don't think it was posted for very long. When I saw the "Buy It Now" for $1000, remembering what the last ones sold for, I snatched it up. Jeff, I thought of your bass when I saw it. I just wish the guy would email me back before I leave for work tomorrow morning so I can get the payment out to him at lunch time.
I haven't been on much with things going on in my band, work, and I've been spending time working out and trimming the ol'waist line that got a little out of control.
I hope all my fellow forumites and their Ricks are doing fine.

It's on it's way! I'll let you guys know all about it when it arrives which should probably be by Tuesday. I'm really excited about this, my first 5 string Rick. I give up on waiting for the 4004Cii5. I'll wait till they eventually show up on ebay. There are usually a few 4001V64 basses on ebay now. I hate that reversed headstock. They should have just kept production of the V63.

I think you'll like the 5 a lot Joey. I find it's a pretty comfortable guitar to play, and makes going back to a four more work.

Here's another one just like it. Serial # is only a few off from the last one.
